In India, there is a surge in Covid cases at an alarming level. In the last 24 hours, over 50K new cases have been identified and the total tally surpasses 3.5cr in the country.
After the rise in cases, there have been voices raising for the booster dose to cope with the Omicron variant. Today, NITI Aayog Member-Health, VK Paul said that precautionary covid dose will be the same for those who have taken it in the past.
Those who took Covaxin doses in the past will get Covaxin as a booster dose and those who took two doses of Covishield will get it as a precautionary dose.
