Odisha Train Accident has been one of the biggest disasters in India. Three trains have collided near Baleswar in Odisha. Coromandel Express has been hit by another two trains and has been the cause of the accident. In the Odisha Train Accident, 1100 passengers have been injured and about 275 passengers have died. More passengers are in critical condition as we write. Odisha Train Accident has become more political than ever.
Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has been going through the rescue operations. He talked to press and stated that the primary investigation has pointed out at failure in interlocking system. He also stated that during Odisha Train Accident, trains have been running at normal speed. It is the failure in interlocking system that resulted in this devastating accident. Odisha Train Accident investigation will now be handed over to CBI.
Minister stated that Railway board has suggested that investigation to be handed over to CBI. Minister also stated the Odisha Train Accident has been a result of a conspiracy. He stated that someone tampered with the interlocking signaling system for some selfish reasons. Odisha Train Accident has been becoming more political with West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee making comments against PM and BJP. She stated that the injured and death count of the accident are being reported lower than actuals.
