Nepal Plane Crash has become a nightmare on Makar Sankranthi festival day. A plane operated by Yeti Airlines took off from Kathmandu, Nepal capital city and crashed at Pokhara. The plane crashed between old and new airports in the city and experts suggest a technical failure in engine might have caused the crash while landing. The aircrafts normally get inspected before they take-off or allowed to travel and only last minute or sudden engine failure could result in such a crash. Nepal Government has announced that they will investigate thoroughly into the matter post rescue operations.
72 passengers have been boarded in the plane and out of them, 68 have been said to be dead. 53 Nepali, 5 Indian, 4 Russian, 2 Koreans, 1 Argentinian, and one each from Ireland, Australia, and France were in the plane, the airlines said in a statement. Nepal Government expressed shock about the crash and the rescue operations have become hard due to the raging fire at the site of wreckage. Experts suggested that a leak from Fuel tank could have propelled fire further. The plane has crashed on the bank of Seti River, in Nepal.
