India is fast developing as Super Power with stable economy in the World. It has been in the race with China, to earn the position of biggest economy in Asia and Fourth largest in World. At this stage, name change of India as Bharat has come into prominence. Several media houses have reported that Union Government is soon going to change name of India has Bharat, worldwide. They have a stated that a special Parliamentary session will be held to take this decision. India will be referred to as Bharat on World Stage, stated reports.
This news has taken Nation, especially, social media by storm. India has been given the name by British Empire during their colonial rule in the country. After Independence, from past 76 years, nation as be referred to as India, on world stage. Now, NDA government is planning to change the name to Bharat as a nod to Sanatan Dharma and traditional beliefs. India has got the name Bharat or Bharat Continent as King Bharata ruled the place.
Giving importance to that fact, NDA government is bringing forth the proposal of name changing. But UN and many countries recognise India as india and now, if they have to refer to it as Bharat, it might be a lot of International bureaucracy. Well, several South-East Asian countries to have local name and International Name. India will be renamed as Republic of Bharat say sources. But will it be a name that is official or just a reference, we have to wait and see. Social media has been trolling and supporting the decision and it will be interesting to see what NDA government will decide, officially.
