Mulayam Singh Yadav, famous Indian Politician from Uttar Pradesh and wrestler turned people’s leader, passed away on 10th October after a prolonged health issue. His son, Akhilesh Yadav, served as Chief Minister of UP when Samajwadi Party formed the government. Mulayam Singh Yadav grew in stature in UP, known as heart of Indian Politics as Congress and BJP main National leaders hail from the state. Mulayam Singh Yadav has been able to destroy myths like no regional party can amass popularity of Congress and BJP leaders with his populist movements.

On 11th October, family members of Mulayam Singh Yadav kept his body at his hometown Safai, for his fans, party workers and followers to visit for one last time. Later, Akhilesh Yadav and other family members performed last rites of Mulayam Singh Yadav with state honors. People and followers of Samajwadi Party gave an emotional send-off to their loved son.

Mulayam Singh Yadav served Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh thrice and 5 times got elected to Lok Sabha from UP. Congress leaders like Kamal Nath, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister Rajnath Singh, RJD leader Tejasvi Yadav, Telangana Chief Minister KCR, SP Leader Jaya Bachchan and her son Abhishek Bachchan have attended the last rites in person. AP Opposition leader Nara Chandra Babu Naidu and Rahul Gandhi have practiced 2 mins silence for Mulayam Singh Yadav.
