MLC Kavitha has been accused of hiding and destroying her old phones. She came out with a packet of as many phones as she could gather and wrote a letter to ED. She submitted the letter and phones. MLC Kavitha displayed those packets of phones to media before submitting. She released copies of her letter to ED as well. MLC Kavitha stated that ED has misconceived, misconstrued and with malice intent spread false accusations about her. She has been summoned for ED interrogation in Delhi Liquor Scam.
She stated that she is baffled to see that ED has told Court in their affidavit that she destroyed her old phones. MLC Kavitha stated that she has been cooperating with ED and submitting all proofs. She also remarked that she has been summoned for interrogation in March, 2023 but ED has accused her of destroying phones, thereby, evidences in November, 2022. MLC Kavitha called this act as caused damage to her image and opposition is preying on this false information, around her. She also stated that asking a women for phone is against right to privacy.
She stated that she is highly disappointed looking at such malicious and uninformed claims about her. MLC Kavitha asked ED to act as independent agency rather than acting with political interest. She claimed that she has nothing to hide and has been cooperating fully with interrogation. So, she asked ED to refrain from such malice claims as they hurt her image as public figure and people’s representative. MLC Kavitha has appeared before ED on 20th March and they interrogated her for 10 hours. She came out with a wide smirk as her followers and BRS supporters welcomed her with Harathi plates.
