MLC Kavitha has been stating that she has no part in Delhi Liquor Scam case. Delhi Excise Policy has been said to be altered to fit the scamsters. Delhi Government has pulled out the policy and MLC Kavitha has been summoned by ED to come for enquiry. She agreed and appeared in front of ED in Delhi on 11th March. ED has against asked her to appear on 16th March. MLC Kavitha immediately moved to Supreme Court against ED Notices.
She raised objection about ED behavior in her petition. MLC Kavitha stated that even though as a woman she has the right to not attend the enquiry at office, ED did not care. She stated that when they have to come to a woman’s house and enquire, they did not do so. Also, MLC Kavitha alleged that ED is using third degree against her in a formal enquiry. She called it political harassment.
In the petition, she also stated that ED in notices stated that they will enquire with others but they did not do so. MLC Kavitha asked for Supreme Court interference in 16th March enquiry. Supreme Court did not want to interfere at this juncture and they will hear arguments on 24th March. MLC Kavitha alleged that ED is acting has BJP agent and not a National independent agency.
