EC, election commission, has released Election Schedule for upcoming 5 states elections. Telangana, Mizoram, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan states will be facing elections in November. The counting will be conducted for all 5 states on 3rd December. From 9th October, EC has stated that election code will be applied in all these states. Majority of the states that will be going for Assembly elections this November are not BJP ruled states. In fact, Madhya Pradesh is the only state where BJP has been in power. In Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, BJP is hoping to better their returns. Mizoram verdict will be influenced by recent agitations and attacks in the state. EC has taken extra care in Mizoram for smooth polling and elections.

Congress is hoping to retain Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan while become major player in Telangana. EC has released entire schedule and parties have started finalising their candidates in these states. BRS is quite confident to make a hattrick in Telangana Assembly elections. On 3rd November, Election Gazette Notification will be released. By 10th, nominations should be filed by candidates and they can withdraw by 15th November.

EC will announce accepted candidature nominations by 13th November. Polling will be conducted in Telangana on 30th November and on 3rd December, counting will be conducted. This means EC will declare results by 3rd December evening or 4th December morning in Telangana and all other states.
