DK Shivakumar, KPCC Party President and MLA, has been strong contender for Chief Minister post. Siddaramaiah and he are said to be looking for Chief Minister position. Congress high command has to decide between Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar. Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar are said to be strongly lobbying for the post. Congress leaders are trying to find right solution between them two.
Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Mallikarjuna Kharge have invited both the leaders to come to Delhi. Karnataka media channels have been asking DK Shivakumar about his plans to become CM. He has stated that he won’t blackmail or divide party. He threatened to file defamation case on media channels if they keep asking him such questions. DK Shivakumar stated that he is one man army and he doesn’t have MLAs under him or as any group.
Major opposition parties are commenting on Congress party for taking time to take a decision. Siddaramaiah group of MLAs are asking for strong number of positions to their faction. DK Shivakumar supporters are asking for him to be elected as Karnataka Chief Minister. DK Shivakumar is now in Delhi talking with Mallikarjuna Kharge. Major leaders are stating that decision will be given out in one or two days.
