Delhi Police have taken a long time to register FIR against WFI President and MP Brij Bhushan. Wrestlers had to protest for months together for Delhi Police to react. Now, they have issued CRPC 91 notices to Wrestlers asking them for substantial proofs. They have asked Wrestlers to submit all proofs they have with regards to all their accusations. Delhi Police have asked them to submit proofs as soon as possible.
Wrestlers have decided to continue their protest against Brij Bhushan. MP has already stated that he is ready to cut his head if even one accusation is proved. Wrestlers have on the other hand have decided to throw their medals into River Ganges. Minister Anurag Thakur has discussed with Wrestlers and told them to co-operate Delhi Police in their investigation. He assured them that Government will not spare the perpetrators, if guilty is proven. Delhi Police have started their investigation with pressure from all corners increasing.
Delhi Police have promised to Wrestlers and Government that they will file a charge sheet by 15th June. Anurag Thakur has also asked Delhi Police to fasten their investigation. And new elections will be held for WFI before 30th June, as well. Wrestlers protest has become International news. Hence, Indian Government had to intervene and now, Delhi Police are also quickly moving towards finding a resolution.
