In Delhi Liquor Policy Case, Arun Ramachandran Pillai, a Hyderabad Businessman, has been arrested by ED. They have produced him in Delhi Court and asked for 7-day remand. Delhi Court sanctioned the 7-day ED Remand after hearing to both sides arguments. He has been said to be key person in Delhi Liquor Policy Case. He agreed that he is a representative of MLC Kavitha. CBI and ED have arrested ex-Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, in this case.
Arun Ramachandran Pillai has been said to be part of Money Laundering and Bribery accusations by ED. In Delhi Liquor Policy Case, South Leaders have been said to have given kickbacks to Delhi Government for making such policy. Delhi Liquor Policy has been scrapped by AAP Government but CBI and ED are investigating the money trail that exchanged hands. ED have stated that even after enquiring 39 times, Arun Ramachandran Pillai, did not reveal the key details about the money exchange.
He agreed to be MLC Kavitha representative but did not agree to any wrong-doing. Delhi Liquor Policy Case has been stated to be a huge scam with several bigwigs involved from Telugu States and Delhi. CM Arvind Kejriwal has stated this has abuse of power by Central Government and BJP.
Court has asked ED, if they do have document proof, why they did not arrest Arun earlier. ED has stated that Arun is not co-operating with them and they need to take him to remand and interrogate in their own style. Delhi Court has given permission to Arun for taking prescribed medicines after health check-up. Delhi Liquor Policy Case, is expected to be downfall of many bigwigs and we have to wait and see.
