Delhi Deputy CM, Manish Sisodiya has been arrested on 26th February, by CBI. They have summoned him to appear for interrogation regarding Delhi Liquor Scam. They questioned Manish Sisodiya for 8 hours, before taking the decision to arrest him. They have stated that his answers are not relatable and different from previous ones. CBI has summoned Manish Sisodiya before and after that they have asked him to appear again.
This time, they have asked for custodial interrogation and hence, they have arrested him. Manish Sisodiya, before going to attend the CBI interrogation, did state that he is not going to be afraid, if he has to go to jail, again. It seems like he anticipated his arrest before after ED has put him in custody for few months. Now, CBI has arrested Manish Sisodiya and his relations with other people involved, seems to raise suspicion.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, called the arrest of Manish Sisodiya as non-democratic. He stated that they will fight against anyone and any force for truth. He called Manish Sisodiya, a warrior and stated that they will welcome him back with broad smile after government agencies find nothing to hold him. He slammed BJP government stating that AAP will be a force to reckon and these kind of harassments won’t stop them.
