CM KCR announces compensation for Damaged crops!

He remarked that Telangana Gross Income is higher than states like Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karnataka. CM KCR stated that total effected damage is up to 2,28,255 acres. In 1,29,446 acres corn crop, 72,709 acres rice crop and 8,865 acres mango crop has been effected by the unseasonal rains in March.

CM KCR in Khammam, met the farmers and their representatives. He took information from them about the damaged crops due to unseasonal rains. CM KCR also visited few fields to survey personally and understood the damage. He announced Rs.10,000, immediate compensation for one acre to all effected farmers. CM KCR stated that Telangana state will not send any survey report to Union Government about the damage.

He remarked that they did not receive any funds from Union Government for the reports they have sent, till date. So, CM KCR suggested that they do not want to send any survey reports to Union Government. He also answered to Bandi Sanjay open letter stating that they are no good schemes in practice by PM Narendra Modi and Union Government for farmers. He stated that Telangana Government has better welfare schemes for farmers and they have been putting in practice lot more plans to help farmers. CM KCR said that Telangana will be developed as an agriculture based state along with technical advancements.

Farmers asked for Rs.50,000 per acre but CM KCR offered them Rs.10,000. Later, he remarked that Telangana Gross Income is higher than states like Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karnataka. CM KCR mentioned that all these farmers will be helped by Telangana government. He also stated that Telangana Government is coming up with projects that will help farmers and agriculture based occupation in the state in coming days. CM KCR stated that India needs better policies to help farmers and agriculture.
