Days after the mega announcement of a Rs.8800 crore steel plant in Kadapa, today Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy along with JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal laid the foundation stone, performed the Bhumi Puja at the plant site in Sunnapurallapalle, YSR Kadapa district. After the event, reputed industrialist Sajjan Jindal was all praises for CM Jagan and his leadership qualities and said, “I have been touring the country and meeting several Chief Ministers and everybody talks of Andhra Pradesh.”
He further lauded leadership of CM Jagan. He said, “They have been lauding the leadership of the CM Jagan Mohan Reddy because this is the state that is growing fastest. When we talk about the growth of GDP, this state is the fastest-growing state in the past 3 years. The reason for the growth is the dedication and commitment of CM Jagan Mohan Reddy because he is committed to the upliftment of the people of Andhra Pradesh.”
Lauding CM Jagan further, Jindal said, “For me it sounds like words from God when someone says that I am lifting the whole state up so that everybody will go up. All the poor people, everybody will benefit from this growth and the bottom of the pyramid benefits the most. Jagan Reddy’s only goal in life is how he can improve the life of the people of Andhra Pradesh. I am thrilled to note how he is transforming the state through digital intervention, better administration & through better management.”
Adding further, Jindal complimented the CM Jagan on Gram Sachivalya infrastructure (village secretariats) and expressed his delight at how AP CM was building 4 new ports, 1 in the private sector and 3 in the public sector. Jindal then elaborated on how the Kadapa Steel Plant would run on green fuel and become the futuristic world class steel plant.
Jindal said, “Though it begins as a small plant, it will grow into bigger dimensions in due course of time like other steel plants established by JSW and cater to all round development of the surrounding areas. Kadapa district will become the steel district of India sometime in the near future.”
Reiterating his pitch for investment and development, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “With the ancillary units around the steel plant, Kadapa will soon become steel city. I am proud to say that we are spending Rs.700 crores to make every arrangement to set up the plant as soon as possible. The electric manufacturing unit in Kopparhi will provide 1 lakh jobs.”
While concluding his address, Sajjan Jindal quoted his father OP Jindal and said, “When an industry is established, the surrounding areas also should be developed in order to cater to the growth and betterment of the lives of the people. Kadapa Steel Plant will be the source of pride for all of us as it will ensure sustainability and growth go hand in hand.”
