Brahmanandam, one of the greatest actors of Telugu Cinema, never became active politically. His contemporary stars like Kota Srinivas Rao, Babu Mohan have entered into politics and even became MLAs. Brahmanandam never entered into politics even though he got tempting offers. But he seems to have decide to a plunge as campaigner for his friend. Brahmanandam did campaigning as star campaigner for BJP candidate in Karnataka elections.
He went to Chikkaballapur in Karnataka for campaigning. Brahmanandam has been invited as star campaigner by Dr. K. Sudhakar, BJP Candidate. Brahmanandam asked people to vote for Sudhakar, as he is a good man and good politician. He has been invited to campaigning as the constituency has major number of Telugu population. He said that since, he came from Hyderabad to their constituency, people should vote for a good man. Many people mobbed around his car, as they wanted to meet him and see him.
They tried to take selfies with him. Brahmanandam took break from acting in every movie that comes his way. He is taking decision based on his characters and stories, lately. Many experts are thinking, if this is political entry by Brahmanandam or just a one-off campaign. Let’s wait and see.
