AP High Court has heard arguments regarding NCBN quash petition, earlier this week. The ex-chief minister of AP, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, has been arrested in AP Skill Development Scam. He got arrested on 9th September by APCID officials. NCBN has been sent to judicial remand by ACB Court for 14 days. Immediately, his lawyers have filed quash petition in ACB Court. As Court did not accept it, they have gone to High Court. NCBN lawyers have been hopeful for case being removed by High Court.
Supreme Court lawyers like Siddharth Luthra and Harish Salve have been given the case through NCBN. They both have argued in his favor in front of AP High Court. After arguments, it looked like NCBN will win the petition. But the High Court has reserved the judgement for two days. On 22nd September, High Court has dismissed the quash petition and stated that NCBN should prove his innocence as these are just allegations. High Court has also dismissed other petition that are in attachment with this one. They have clearly stated that as NCBN arrested in 2021, CID need not take prior permission to arrest him.

Later, ACB Court has ordered CID officials to inquire NCBN in Jail and prolonged his custody till 24th September. He called his arrest illegal and requested Court to understand that this is political vengeance against him. But Court did not agree with him. They can question him from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM and official names, who question him, will be submitted to court. ACB Court has also asked NCBN to cooperate with the officials and not resisit the investigation. Lawyers of NCBN have stated that they will take the quash petition to Supreme Court.
