Nara Chandrababu Naidu, opposition leader and TDP Chief, ex-Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, has been arrested on 9th September. Early in the morning, around 6:00 AM, Police and CID officials have surrounded him at his Nandyal stay. Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his followers did not resist their entry but the senior politician questioned them about the charges and proofs. CID officials have offered him the copy of charges on a Memo and asked him to cooperate with them. Nara Chandrababu Naidu signed the forms and told them that he will definitely cooperate with them but he is completely innocent.
CID officiails have decided to present him in front of ACB Court in Vijayawada. Officials have arrested in connection with Crime No. 29/2021 under sections 120 (B) 166, 167, 41b, 420, 465, 468, 471, 409 201, 109 r/w 34 and 37 of the IPC; and Sec 12, 13 (2) r/w 13 (1) (c) and (d ) of the Prevention of Corruption Act of 1968 from the CID police at Mangalagiri. Nara Chandrababu Naidu cannot apply for bail from PS and he has to go to Court. As these are non-bailable offences, he has to spend time in Jail, until he gets bail. He has been arrested for corruption regarding AP State Skill Development project. Lawyers of Nara Chandrababu Naidu have stated that they will apply for bail in AP High Court.
Lawyers also stated that Nara Chandrababu Naidu is suffering with health conditions like High BP and Sugar. So, he has to be given privilege to get a bail due to his age and illness. On the other hand, Nara Lokesh who has been busy with Yuvagalam Yatra has been restricted by Police. AP Police have stopped him and stated that Government has banned on his movements. He wanted to go and meet his father but officials did not allow him to go. He had a spat in anger with officials. Well, Nara Chandrababu Naidu has claimed that he did not commit any crime and he is being harassed for fighting for public against government.
