Amit Shah, Union Home Minister denied any merit in Satya Pal Malik’s remarks. Ex-Governor of Bihar and Jammu & Kashmir, Satya Pal Malik stated that PM Narendra Modi asked him to stay silent on Pulwama incident. He stated that he received reports from intelligence that there could be an attack on Indian Army Contingent at Pulwama. But he could not do anything as PM and Amit Shah asked him to be silent. He stated that BJP Government tried to cover up their incompetency in handling the issue on a TV program. Amit Shah on another TV platform denied those remarks.
He said that if Satya Pal Malik really wanted to talk about it, why he did not during he had power. Amit Shah questioned why would people consciousness wake up after they lose power. He said public should be aware of political remarks and statements. Amit Shah clarified that BJP Government has nothing to hide from public. He also stated that Satya Pal Malik should have reacted back in the day, if he had consciousness and telling truth.
He said that BJP chose him for such positions as he worked closely with Rajnath Singh and also senior to him. But these remarks show that he can stoop to any low for political benefits. Amit Shah stated that BJP is close to the people and will be trusted by public during elections too. He denied any connection to government in CBI notices to Satya Pal Malik about life premium scandal. Amit Shah expressed confidence in their truth being trusted by people.
