
Due to the rise in Omicron cases, the 27th Kolkata International Film Festival was cancelled, which was scheduled to be held between 7-14th January.
It was known that the West Bengal government had imposed restrictions on the state. It allowed only 50% occupancy in theatres, restaurants, shopping malls etc., till 10 PM. And the employees must be vaccinated with two doses.
All schools, colleges, gyms and universities were closed in the state. It ordered private employees to prefer to work from home.
And the Bengal to operate flights from Delhi and Mumbai only twice a week which will be on Monday and Friday.
The meetings and conferences shall be allowed with a maximum of 200 people at a time or 50% seating capacity hall.
