Assam is mourning the sudden death of its beloved singer Zubeen Garg, whose passing has left fans in deep sorrow. The 52-year-old artist reportedly died in Singapore after a swimming accident, shocking people across India and beyond.

On Sunday, his mortal remains were flown from Singapore to Guwahati. As the body was taken from the airport to his home, the streets of the city were filled with an emotional crowd. Throughout the journey, the atmosphere was filled with his songs, sung by grieving fans. The Assam government has announced special arrangements for his funeral rites in Guwahati and nearby areas.

In a career spanning three decades, he performed over 38,000 songs in 40 languages and dialects, making him one of the most prolific voices in Indian music.
