Swiggy has been coming up with different and creative ads to promote their delivery service. They have started Instamart to bring people their essential needs with one click. Swiggy has come up with a Holi ad campaign at different places. In the ad, they have stated that Eggs are good to be made omelette but not to be hit on anyone’s heads. Now, Swiggy is forced to bring this ad down.
People on social media have become easy to trigger about anything, these days. Someone triggered that Swiggy has come up with an ad campaign that is against Hindu Festival, Holi. They have put a #BuraMatKhelo. Immediately, people started calling Swiggy Hindu Phobic. #HinduPhobicSwiggy has been trending on Twitter for sometime.
Swiggy immediately decided to take down that campaign to clear their image. Well, asking someone to not waste food or eggs, which can be constituted as nutritious food, should not be seen as Hindu phobia. This kind of trends where everything is getting seen in such negative frame of mind, needs to end. Swiggy tried to give out a positive message but not a negative one. Anyways, as social media decided Swiggy is Hindu Phobic, they have decided to take down that campaign.
