Indian Navy has been looking add to their arsenal some more powerful missiles. They have tested an indigenously developed Heavy Weight Torpedo on Tuesday. Indian Navy has tested this Torpedo to hit an Under Water target and it did successfully. The test has been highly successful and they have posted the video on Twitter. Indian Navy stated that they are excited with the test and results.

They called it a significant milestone in Indian Navy and DRDO quest. Underwater missiles are important for Indian army in improving underwater resistance. India has long coastal line which could be under attack from different countries in case of a war. These underwater missiles help in resisting and attacking any country’s army successfully. Indian Navy is looking to develop more such indigenous missiles as they would cost less. And also improve manufacturing and production capabilities more efficiently.

Indian Navy has a Underwater Torpedo called Varunastra. This heavy weight automatic torpedo can hit a target at a distance of 30 Kilometers. Indian Navy has marked this torpedo as a significant milestone and we hope they develop and achieve many more such milestones.
