Wamiqa Gabbi is truly having a moment. With back-to-back projects and a growing fan base, the actress is riding high in her career. Fresh off her role in Baby John alongside Varun Dhawan, she’s now part of the upcoming thriller G2, sharing screen space with Adivi Sesh and Emraan Hashmi.
Known for her natural screen presence and choice of bold, varied roles, Wamiqa is quickly becoming one of the most exciting talents in Indian cinema today. She will also feature in Bhoot Bangla, a horror-comedy with Akshay Kumar.
The actress is also being considered for a lead role opposite Ranveer Singh in an upcoming superhero film directed by Basil Joseph, best known for Minnal Murali. This film is rumoured to be a Bollywood version of the beloved Indian superhero Shaktimaan.
Sources say Wamiqa is getting noticed for her strong performances in both Hindi and regional films. She is also said to be in talks for a Telugu film with actor Nani.
Though nothing has been officially confirmed yet, the superhero film is quietly taking shape behind the scenes. Director Basil Joseph, best known for Minnal Murali, has been spotted in Mumbai, holding script readings and discussions with Ranveer Singh, despite not being very fluent in Hindi. That hasn’t stopped him from diving into the process with enthusiasm.
Ranveer, currently busy finishing a spy thriller directed by Aditya Dhar, is expected to turn his full attention to the superhero project after March 2025, once the script is locked in and dates are finalised. Nani is busy with is projects too.
