Vijay’s Beast and Ajith’s Valimai have one thing in common, that is, both of them failed to get positive word of mouth. But the recent updates from trade experts and few new updates from exhibitors of both the films have established that the movies are profitable at the box office.
Beast collected a share of Rs. 62.3 crores at the Tamil Nadu box office and movie managed to collect a profit in the state, according to a box office tracker. On the other hand, Valimai movie collected Rs. 105 crores at their chains, reported PVR in their Q4 report.
Also, few exhibitors shared that VALIMAI is one of the biggest grossers for them in the concluded quarter. As reported earlier, the debate about both the films being sold to high prices to distributors and their box office status has been going on.
Nelson Dilipkumar thanked Vijay for the opportunity and Sun Pictures, the producer marked the movie as a success, even though few trackers claim the other way. Valimai has been classified as a profitable and popular movie by Zee Studios and on Bayview Projects producer Boney Kapoor started his third film with Ajith Kumar in same director, H.Vinoth direction. Looks like the star value of both the stars managed to save these films which were panned by critics and disappointed fans to some extent.
