Tollywood star Vijay Deverakonda is back with a new project titled Rowdy Janardhan. Known for his strong following among the youth, Vijay has earlier entertained audiences with films like Kushi and King of the Hill. Now, he is set to take on an intense action drama under the direction of Ravi Kiran Kola.
Produced by top filmmaker Dil Raju, the movie will feature National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh as the female lead opposite Vijay. This marks their first proper collaboration, as they previously acted in Mahanati but did not share scenes together. Fans are excited to see this fresh on-screen pairing, which is expected to add charm to the film.
The makers of Rowdy Janardhan are reportedly planning big, with a powerful storyline set against the backdrop of Rayalaseema. To make things more gripping, veteran actor Rajasekhar has been cast as the main villain. Once a popular hero known for his “angry young man” image, Rajasekhar is now exploring different roles. His recent outings did not click, but expectations are high that this film will bring back his intensity.
Industry talk suggests that Vijay and Rajasekhar’s clash will be one of the film’s highlights. Given Rajasekhar’s past record in serious roles, fans believe he will deliver a strong performance as an antagonist.
While many thought the film had already started shooting, the makers surprised everyone by announcing that production will officially begin on 2 October. The auspicious muhurtham is expected to be held on Vijayadashami. Pre-production work is already in progress, with large-scale planning in place.
The film is scheduled for a grand release in summer 2026. Though mainly an action entertainer, Rowdy Janardhan will also carry an emotional love story, promising both mass appeal and romance.
