Vijay Deverakonda has had a streak of failures at box office post Geetha Govindam. Kushi took a decent opening but did not become a hit that he is anticipating. He has joined hands with Geetha Govindam director again. Vijay Deverakonda and Parasuram Petla are coming back with Family Star. The team has announced the title with a teaser. Vijay Deverakonda will have his first Sankranthi release with the film.
Parasuram Petla also needs a big hit post Sarkaaru Vaari Paata. The director chose SVP over Naga Chaitanya film, after starting shooting. This has given him bad name and also, doing this movie for Dil Raju has raised tensions for him with Allu Aravind. But he is hoping to re-create his success with Vijay Deverakonda with this film. The movie is said to be not Geetha Govindam part-2. Still, Allu Aravind had issues because the combination has been locked by him before.
Well, we hope the director will sort out everything soon. Vijay Deverakonda will be seen as a middle-class man in this film. Mrunal Thakur is playing leading lady in the film. Vijay Deverakonda will be seen taking students to school and helping in community, his home and society as a family man. Hence, the title Family Star. Mrunal Thakur will be seen as his wife in the movie, too. Vijay Deverakonda is hoping this to be as big a blockbuster as MCA for Nani. Interestingly, Dil Raju is the producer for both the films presenting young heroes as middle class men.
