Upasana Konidela, wife of Telugu star Ram Charan and granddaughter of Apollo Hospitals founder Prathap C. Reddy, has once again become a talking point on social media. This time, it is because of Upasana posted about the idea of a “khaas aadmi party” – a concept that made many people stop and think.

Her message was not about politics. Instead, she spoke about what really makes a person special or “khaas”. She asked whether importance comes from being rich, famous or well-connected, or whether it comes from qualities such as strength, honesty and compassion.

Upasana pointed out that people often assume her achievements are due to her powerful family or her marriage to a popular film star. But she said her identity does not depend on her surname or her husband’s fame. What made her “khaas”, she explained, was her journey – facing difficulties, learning from failures, and finding the courage to rise again.

She shared that being special has little to do with money or position. Instead, it comes from believing in oneself, being thankful, showing kindness and standing strong through challenges. She also highlighted an important difference: ego demands attention, while true self-worth naturally earns respect.
Upasana also touched on how women are often expected to remain quiet, modest and self-sacrificing. She argued that women should not lose themselves in these expectations. By practising self-love and focusing on personal growth, women can inspire not only themselves but also those around them.

Her post ended with an open invitation. Upasana said that the “khaas aadmi party” is for everyone who chooses confidence over doubt, resilience over fear and inner strength over external approval. According to her, these values are what truly make someone stand out.

Upasana’s message has struck a chord online. Many saw it as a reminder that success is not measured by background or connections but by personal character and the ability to overcome life’s struggles.
