Premante set to release in India and the US

Premante

Premante

The Telugu romantic comedy Premante is preparing for a theatrical release across both India and the United States. This marks a significant launch strategy for the makers, aiming to connect with audiences in India as well as the Telugu diaspora abroad.

Premante is directed by Navaneeth Sriram in his debut as a filmmaker. The lead actors are Priyadarshi Pulikonda and Anandhi, both of whom bring strong screen presence and chemistry to the project. The film is produced by Jhanvi Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, under the banner of Sri Venkateshwara Creations, and presented by Rana Daggubati.

The teaser for the film, recently released, hints at a lively story of a newly married couple. According to the preview, the couple’s fairy-tale romance soon collides with the rigours of everyday life, leading to humorous misunderstandings, squabbles, and memorable moments. Supporting the leads is veteran actor Suma Kanakala, who appears in a key role.

Technically, Premante is well backed: Vishwanath Reddy handles cinematography, Leon James has composed the music, and the editing is by Raghavendra Thirun. The dialogues for the film are written by Karthik Thupurani and Raj Kumar Kusuma, giving the story emotional weight and comic flair.

The film has been certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a U/A certificate, making it suitable for a broad audience. The makers are optimistic about the film’s prospects, particularly because of its planned release in both domestic and overseas markets.

It will hit theatres on 21 November 2025, giving fans enough time to plan their visits and book tickets in advance. The move to a cross-continental release underlines how Telugu cinema is increasingly embracing global audiences, particularly in regions with significant Telugu-speaking populations.

Through Premante, the team hopes not only to offer a heartfelt and entertaining romantic comedy but also to tap into the growing demand for regional Indian films overseas. With its mix of humour, relatability, and emotional warmth, the film may appeal to those looking for a modern story about love and married life.
