Actor Teja Sajja, who began his journey as a child artist, has revealed that his entire film career is dedicated to megastar Chiranjeevi. The young actor, who later impressed audiences as a supporting actor in Oh! Baby and turned hero with Zombie Reddy, became a pan-India sensation with HanuMan. Now, he is set to return as a superhero in Mirai, releasing on 12 September. During promotions for Mirai, Teja shared emotional memories about his early days.
Teja Sajja explained that his entry into the industry was possible only because of Chiranjeevi. “When Choodalani Vundi was being made, several photos of child actors were shown to Chiranjeevi sir. He selected mine. If he had not picked me that day, I would not be in films today. My career is dedicated to him,” Teja said.
He also spoke about his personal bond with the veteran star. “Chiranjeevi sir treated me like his own son. After HanuMan became a hit, he called me and spoke for 20 minutes, advising me on how to choose films and survive in the industry. His words gave me great confidence,” Teja recalled.
Looking back, Teja admitted that his family had doubts about his decision to pursue acting since he had no film background. Despite facing rejections, insults and struggles, he stayed determined. “Many people cheated me in the beginning. A star director even shot 15 days with me only to replace me later with another hero. I later realised they only used me for mock shoots. Still, I never gave up,” he shared.
Today, with success behind him and a superhero film ahead, Teja Sajja stands as an example of persistence. His story shows how faith, guidance, and resilience can shape a career in the tough world of cinema.
