Superstar Rajinikanth is one of the most prominent actors of Indian Cinema. He is a legend among the Matinee Idols of Indian Cinema and has star power like no one among his peers. Rajinikanth has given a huge blockbuster with Jailer, recently. Movie collected a huge Rs.600 crores gross worldwide and became Industry Hit for Kollywood. Now, Rajinikanth received another honor from BCCI.
Honorary Secretary of BCCI, Jay Shah visited him at his residence and handed him Golden Ticket. Rajinikanth received it with great smile. BCCI started opening tickets for CWC 2023 matches and they have invited Rajinikanth as a distinguished guest with this ticket. Rajinikanth might appear at opening ceremony and Final match too, if India reaches finals.
BCCI, in their statement said, “The Phenomenon Beyond Cinema! The BCCI Honorary Secretary @jayshah220988 presented the golden ticket to Shri @rajinikanth, the true embodiment of charisma and cinematic brilliance. The legendary actor has left an indelible mark on the hearts of millions, transcending language and culture. We are thrilled to announce that Thalaiva will grace the @icc @cricketworldcup 2023 as our distinguished guest and will light up the biggest cricketing spectacle with his presence.”
On the other hand, Rajinikanth attributed major success of his film, Jailer to Anirudh Ravichander. He called him his son and called movie “Above Average” before Anirudh added his RR and BGM. These comments attracted trolls for Rajinikanth and support for Nelson. While some state they are facts, some did not find them to be stated in good taste. Anyways, Nelson did not mind them and producers, too. Well, it would be great to see Rajinikanth at the opening ceremony of biggest spectacle of World Cricket happening in India, on 5th October.
