SS Rajamouli has become one of the biggest directors of Indian Cinema. His Baahubali series and RRR have become global hits. RRR has even earned Oscar and Golden Globe awards. SS Rajamouli has been working on his next film story. Mahesh Babu will be playing the leading man role and more details will be announced by him, soon. Now, SS Rajamouli has decided to give Cinema, the one that gave him so much recognition, a big tribute.
India has grown as the biggest consumer of Cinema, other than USA and China. While population makes it huge industry, the love for cinema and stars, has been huge too. Stars are called as Matinee Idols, in the nation. SS Rajamouli has used that emotion to create his career as a successful director. Without cinema, he wouldn’t have been such an important artist too. Hence, he is coming up with a biopic on Dadasaheb Phalke, the Father of Indian Cinema. SS Rajamouli won’t be directing it, but is presenting it.

His son, SS Karthikeya is producing it with Varun Gupta. The movie shoot will soon start once the entire cast is finalised. SS Rajamouli has heard the script narration and accepted to produce it. He revealed the same on his social media accounts. SS Rajamouli stated, “When I first heard the narration, it moved me emotionally like nothing else. Making a biopic is tough in itself, but conceiving one about the FATHER OF INDIAN CINEMA is even more challenging. Our boys are ready and up for it. With immense pride, Presenting MADE IN INDIA.”

The film has been titled as “Made in India”. SS Rajamouli will be guiding Nitin Kakkar, who is directing the film. Also, he will be promoting it on huge scale all-over the world. Movie will be released in Marathi, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. SS Rajamouli is excited about this production and reports suggest a prominent star of Indian Cinema, will be featuring in this one. Dadasaheb Phalke had to go from centre to centre to popularise cinema over theatre in India. His biopic will be not just origin of Indian Cinema but it would it be a worthy tribute to cinema, itself, by maddening Indian crowds, if made well. Let’s hope it would be!
