SRK has come back into great form with Pathaan and Jawan films. After taking 4 years break, he delivered back to back 1000 crore grossers. SRK has become the first Indian actor to deliver to such big blockbusters. Pathaan has become biggest hit for Hindi and Jawan has crossed it to become even bigger blockbuster. SRK is now gearing up to release his third film, Dunki for Christmas weekend.
SRK has announced his first collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani. Dunki is said to be story of a soldier who travels in Donkey flight route for fulfilling a promise. Till date, neither Rajkumar Hirani nor SRK confirmed the plot line of Dunki. They just stated that this plot follows a Punjabi person who takes Donkey route. Suddenly, Salaar Part-1 Ceasefire makers announced the release of their film on 22nd December 2023, that has been taken by Dunki.
Recent strategy of Dunki filmmakers is said to be releasing the film on 21st December, a day before Salaar. This will give them enough chance to take big opening on day one and also hold as many theatres as they can. SRK will be hoping to bring good business strategy to not lose stakes against Salaar. We have to wait and see, how SRK will place Dunki in Overseas and Indian markets after such huge blockbusters. Tapsee Pannu is playing female lead role in the film, Dunki.
