Tollywood actress Sreeleela is busy promoting her upcoming film Mass Jathara, but she is also enjoying the festive mood of Diwali. In a recent TV interview, the actress shared funny and emotional memories from her childhood celebrations.

When asked which firecracker she would compare herself to, she laughed and said, “My mother says I’m like an ‘Akhanda Deepam’ at home, always spreading light. But my brothers call me a sparkler because I’m always full of energy and a bit naughty.”

Sreeleela revealed details about her role in Mass Jathara. “I play Tulasi, a village girl who works as a teacher. For the first time, I spoke dialogues in the Srikakulam accent. It’s a fun, mass entertainer, and I’m sure it will make a loud noise in theatres like a 1000-wala cracker,” she said with a smile.

Talking about her childhood Diwali celebrations, she said, “After it got dark, we used to switch off all the electric lights and sit in the warm glow of the diyas. The next morning, cleaning the oil from the lamps was a big task. This year, because of a film shoot, I will celebrate Diwali with my mum in Mumbai.”

She also admitted she was scared of loud crackers. “Whenever someone burst big bombs, I used to run far away,” she recalled.

Sreeleela made her acting debut with Pelli SandaD and became a star overnight with Dhamaka alongside Ravi Teja. After a few mixed projects, she impressed audiences with a special song in Pushpa 2: The Rule. Now, she is teaming up with Ravi Teja once again for Mass Jathara, which is set to release on 31 October.

Fans are eager to see if this festive entertainer and Sreeleela will shine bright at the box office just like a Diwali sparkler.
