Aamir Khan Productions is celebrating the success of their latest film, Sitaare Zameen Par, which has struck an emotional chord with movie lovers across the country. The film has been praised not just for its storytelling, but also for the way it has touched lives—particularly those of families with special needs children.

One such touching response came from a man who wrote a heartfelt letter to the filmmakers, sharing how the movie moved him and his brother, who has special needs. The emotional message highlights how the film’s story is making a real difference to people beyond just entertainment.

The film’s success is also shown in its box office numbers. After making ₹10.7 crore on its opening day, the film nearly doubled its earnings on Saturday, collecting ₹20.2 crore. By Sunday, according to Sacnilk, the total had reached an impressive ₹30.9 crore across India. These strong figures point to positive word-of-mouth and wide appreciation from the public.

Directed by R.S. Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par stars Aamir Khan as Gulshan Arora, a basketball coach who trains a team of ten young players with disabilities. The film tells a touching and uplifting story as Gulshan helps his team grow and believe in themselves, both on and off the court.

The film also introduces a group of talented new actors: Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. Their honest and energetic performances have been praised for bringing authenticity to the screen.

Genelia Deshmukh adds further charm to the film with her role as Suneeta, Gulshan’s wife, offering warmth and support throughout the story.
