Sarath Babu has debuted in Telugu Cinema in 1973. With Panthulamma and Maro Charitra, he became one of the most sought after actors. He got huge recognition in Tamil Cinema as well at the same time with Nizhal Nijamagiradhu and Mullum Malarum. With Telugu and Tamil films, Sarath Babu created a niche for himself in Indian Cinema. He continued to be part of major films with Superstar Krishna, Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Kamal Haasan in 1980’s. Sarath Babu continued to be part of films in 1990’s and 2000’s as well.

His roles in Annamalai and Muthu have made him even more popular in South Indian Cinema. His performance in Kamal Haasan’s Sagara Sangamam won him accolades. Sarath Babu has complained recently about ill-health. His family shifted him to AGS hospitals in Hyderabad. Major rumors have come out that he passed away one month ago.
