Salman Khan has firmly denies allegations that he damages the careers of others in Bollywood. Speaking on Bigg Boss 19, the superstar said that only God can decide a person’s future, not him.

The controversy began when Dabangg director Abhinav Kashyap accused Salman of controlling the film industry, calling him a “goonda” and a “vulture”. Kashyap also alleged that false rumours were spread about him and his work after he refused to direct Dabangg 2. His remarks surprised many and led to a heated debate on social media.

On Sunday’s “Weekend Ka Vaar” episode, Bigg Boss contestant Shehnaaz Gill directly asked Salman whether he had destroyed many people’s careers. The actor quickly replied: “I have not made anyone’s career, nor have I ruined one. Careers are made by God, not by me. If I can destroy a career, it is only my own.”

Salman added that while people often claim he blocks opportunities, those who fail in the industry are not under his control. He also brushed aside the idea that he holds power over everyone’s success.

The episode also saw the entry of Shahbaaz Badesha, Shehnaaz’s brother, as a wild card contestant. Shehnaaz, who became a household name in Bigg Boss 13, was present to support him. She later entered Bollywood with Salman’s film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (2023), a remake of Veeram, though the film did not succeed at the box office.

Despite the controversy, Salman is still praised for introducing new actors and giving chances to fresh talent. Supporters point out that he has launched several newcomers who later found success in the industry.

Meanwhile, Bigg Boss 19 is grabbing high attention with its dramatic clashes inside the house. The show’s buzz has grown over the past two weeks, now fuelled further by Salman’s strong defence of his reputation.
