Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has shared why he usually chooses not to dance at weddings, even though it has become common for film stars to perform at grand celebrations. Speaking about his personal views, Saif said that dancing at weddings no longer feels comfortable or suitable for him.

The actor explained that an early experience played a role in shaping his thinking. Years ago, he danced at a wedding and was later told off by a family member. That moment stayed with him and made him reflect on how such performances are perceived. Since then, he has felt that weddings are better enjoyed as a guest rather than as a performer.

Saif pointed out that many weddings today are extremely large and public events, often attended by people from the same social circles. In such settings, he feels the line between being a guest and being hired to perform becomes unclear. For him, this makes dancing on stage awkward rather than enjoyable. He believes celebrations should remain personal and relaxed, not feel like professional assignments.

However, the actor made it clear that he does not judge other celebrities who perform at weddings. He respects their choices and understands that everyone has different comfort levels. His decision, he said, is purely personal and not meant as criticism of the trend.

Interestingly, Saif admitted that his feelings can change depending on the location. He recalled dancing at a wedding abroad and enjoying the experience because the setting felt more comfortable and less intense. In contrast, large weddings in India often feel too close and overwhelming for him.

Saif also spoke about how constant public appearances can affect an actor’s image. He feels that being seen everywhere, whether at weddings or on social media, can reduce the sense of mystery around a star. For him, maintaining some distance helps preserve the charm associated with cinema personalities.

At present, Saif Ali Khan prefers to focus on his acting work and creative projects. He feels films are the right space for him to perform and express himself, while weddings are best enjoyed quietly, celebrating with family and friends rather than dancing under the spotlight.
