RRR has done the unthinkable and created history. The team even did not anticipate that their film will be so much loved in the West and win them Oscar award. RRR song Naatu Naatu won the Oscar for “Best Original Song” at Oscars 95. MM Keeravani, the music composer and Chandrabose, the lyricist, accepted the award on stage. RRR stars Ram Charan, Jr. NTR and SS Rajamouli cheered them on from the crowd.
Rahul Sipligunj, Kaala Bhairava performed the song on stage along with dancers. Many Hollywood stars at the Academy Awards event gave standing ovation. RRR team seemed thrilled by the experience and entire nation celebrated with them. The team one year before, had many issues prior to release and after so many postponements, finally released on 25th March, 2022 globally. RRR upon Netflix release created sensation among Japan and Western crowds to achieve this prestigious award.

MM Keeravani after accepting the award sang an English Song that inspired him. Both MM Keeravani and Chandrabose spoke at the Oscar Press Room to media. They thanked Academy and dedicated the award to entire India. They wished that this is the first among many such acknowledgements in future. RRR team have expressed their happiness for Naatu Naatu being performed on the stage and winning the award, too. Well, we all wished for this kind of moment when West appreciated RRR movie. Now, we have a Telugu mainstream that won Oscar Award, Golden Globe, Critics Choice Awards in USA, the global stage for movie lovers!
