Reba Monica Voices Disappointment Over ‘CooLi’ Role

Reba

Telugu actress Reba Monica, who made her Tollywood debut with Samajavaragamana starring Sri Vishnu, recently appeared in the film CooLi. While she shared screen space with superstar Rajinikanth, Reba Monica has expressed her disappointment over the limited scope of her role in the film.

In a recent interview, Reba Monica said, “I was quite disappointed acting in CooLi. At times, I wondered why I even took the role because my character did not have much importance. However, I will always be grateful for the opportunity to act alongside the legendary Rajinikanth.” She added that despite being offered only a minor role, she accepted it to share the screen with the superstar.

Reba Monica also pointed out that the director portrayed her as a side character, even though she was cast to play Shruti Haasan’s sister in the film. Her comments have quickly gone viral online, sparking mixed reactions from fans and netizens.

Many social media users have supported the director Lokesh Kanagaraj, arguing that Reba Monica herself requested the role in the Rajinikanth film. She had approached Lokesh Kanagaraj and asked for even a small part to act alongside the superstar. At the film’s pre-release event, Reba Monica confirmed that she had agreed to the limited role despite knowing her character would not have major significance.

Netizens argue that her disappointment after the film’s release is not entirely fair, as she had willingly taken a minor part for the experience of acting with Rajinikanth. Others empathise with her feelings, acknowledging that actors often hope for bigger screen presence even in high-profile projects.

Reba Monica’s statements highlight a common issue in cinema, where actors’ expectations and screen time sometimes differ from the final cut. While her role in CooLi may have been brief, fans continue to appreciate her dedication and courage in taking on challenging projects alongside top stars.
