Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is joining hands with director Shiva Nirvana for a brand-new action drama, a pairing that has already stirred excitement in Tollywood circles. The project, said to be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, marks the director’s first shift away from his usual brand of feel-good love stories into a more high-octane narrative.
Shiva Nirvana, who has built a strong reputation with films such as Ninnu Kori, Majili, Tuck Jagadish and Kushi, is reported to have penned a story that mixes action with family emotions. At the centre of it, Ravi Teja is expected to portray a father’s role layered with sentiment, a character designed to strike a balance between mass appeal and emotional depth.
Interestingly, this very script was once meant for Naga Chaitanya and was being shaped as his NC25 film. Talk in the industry hinted at an emotional action drama under his banner, but the project quietly shifted tracks and is now set to feature Ravi Teja instead.
For Ravi Teja, this comes at a decisive moment. Despite being a crowd favourite known for his lively mix of comedy, dance and action, his recent films have struggled to replicate his earlier box office success. Fans believe his role choices have been inconsistent, and this collaboration with Shiva Nirvana could provide the much-needed turnaround.
Meanwhile, Ravi Teja is wrapping up Mass Jathara, which was scheduled to release on September 27th for Vinayaka Chavithi but is now facing possible delays. On the other side, Naga Chaitanya has already moved forward with another film directed by Karthik Dandu, currently being shot under the working title NC24.
With Shiva Nirvana’s change of direction into action storytelling and Ravi Teja’s search for a strong comeback, expectations are naturally high. Audiences are eager to see if this new combination can deliver both thrills and emotions on the big screen.
