Farhan Akhtar wanted to make his own Don film. He has been fascinated with Don character from a young age. With Shah Rukh Khan, he created Don character and in Don 2, he made the character go global. While both films remained urban friendly action films they have become favorites of SRK fans. Now, he is reimagining Don with Ranveer Singh. The director wanted to make sequel to Don 2 from long time as fans have been asking. Finally, he has been able to find a concept that excites him and take the character to it. SRK did not want to continue and Ranveer Singh has stepped-in.
The teaser is about introducing Ranveer Singh being Don and showing his take on the character. But Farhan Akhtar seems to have kept the tone he has hit with SRK, the same even here. While fans are disappointed with it as SRK charm is unparalleled. An Actor like SRK in a negative role in unmatched even by his contemporaries and his previous generation greats. Ranveer Singh has proved to be good in Padmaavat but can he match charming quality that SRK brought to Don? The teaser and voice-over tries to match Don-2 vibe but the comparision might kill Don-3 in 2025. Let’s wait and watch.
