Ranbir Kapoor has been looking at diverse roles and scripts from the start of his career. He has decided to take on super-hero fantasy genre with Brahmastra. Ranbir Kapoor will soon be seen as a person with negative shades in Animal. Now, Bollywood reports suggest that he will be seen in a mythological film as Lord Ram. Ranbir Kapoor will be playing Ram while Sai Pallavi will be Sita. The biggest casting scoop is that Yash will be seen as Ravana.
The movie will be made as a trilogy, say reports. Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi will be cast in all three parts. Yash will be seen in extended guest appearance in the first one. Second one will be more Ravana centric with Yash, playing full life story of the Demon King. In the third part, Ranbir Kapoor as Ram will take on Yash as Ravan, in the Yuddha Kanda based episodes, it seems. For now, reports are not known about who is being cast as Hanuman.
After Adipurush, the producers and directors have decided to do even more research on VFX technology to be used, it seems. The shoot will commence with Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in the get-ups early, 2024. Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal fame, will be helming the epic as director and writer. The movie team has spent three years in preparation works as per the reports. Yash will join the shoot in July, will Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi are expected start shooting in February.
Oscar winning VFX company, DNEG as finished creating VFX plates for world of Ramayana, it seems. Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi will shoot till August, 2024. After Part One, both the parts will be finished at an express pace before second quarter of 2025, in Sri Lanka. say reports.
