Ram Pothineni is wishing to give a huge commercial blockbuster after Ismart Shankar with Skanda. From a long time, he has been waiting to act in a complete commercial entertainer in a big director’s direction. After Puri Jagannath, he found such big name working with him for Skanda. After delivering blockbusters like Sarrainodu and Akhanda, Boyapati Srinu is directing the film. Skanda release has been now postponed to Salaar date.
Salaar starring Prabhas, Shruthi Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran and directed by Prashanth Neel has been postponed from 28th September release date. The movie team did not confirm the new release date but they might be going to November or January. As such a huge film has been postponed, Skanda has been postponed to take advantage of the date. Ganesh Nimmajan holiday and 2nd October National holiday, come in the first week and hence, that date is seen as lucrative. Skanda is hoping to take full advantage of that date in a big way. Rules Ranjann and MAD are releasing on the same date.
Ram Pothineni will be seen in a very rugged look in the film. Sreeleela and Ram Pothineni dances are going viral to the tunes of SS Thaman. Saiee Manjrekar is also playing important role in the film, Skanda. With this postponement, Jawan will get 3 weeks, in Telugu states, if it manages to get good Word of Mouth. Chandramukhi 2 on 15th September, will get single big release in Telugu states and it can take advantage of Ganesh Chathurthi holiday. Skanda is hoped to become huge blockbuster for Telugu Cinema, as in recent times, it has been facing low collections.
