Ram Charan is raising fans’ hopes once again, this time with his upcoming film Peddi. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Buchi Babu Sana of Uppena fame, Peddi is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about Telugu films of 2025.
At a recent public event, Charan spoke briefly about the project and called it “a unique script”. What caught everyone’s attention was his bold statement: “Peddi might be more exciting than Rangasthalam and RRR,” he said, adding, “This is not something I say for every film.” You can mark my words.”
This statement has set social media buzzing, especially after the mixed response to Game Changer. Many fans now see Peddi as an important film for Ram Charan to bounce back with a solid success.
Set in a rural village, Peddi features Charan in a de-glamoured role — a space he excelled in with Rangasthalam. The film also stars Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor and Mirzapur actor Divyenndu Sharma in key roles. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, the film is presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.
The title glimpse of Peddi, released earlier this year, made a strong impression with its rustic tone and powerful visuals. Now with Ram Charan’s latest comments, the anticipation has only grown.
The film is currently in fast-paced production and is expected to release in 2025. Whether it lives up to the hype remains to be seen, but fans are certainly excited for what’s next.
