Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan have become Superstars of Indian Cinema in 1970’s. Amitabh Bachchan delivered huge blockbusters that even inspired many stars to make them in regional languages. Major hit for Rajinikanth in 1970’s that made him big star is Don remake, Billa. But he grew so big in Tamil and South Cinema that after Kamal Haasan, he also entered Hindi Cinema in 1980’s. Rajinikanth shared screen with Amitabh Bachchan in Hum film, in 1990.
Now, after 33 years, Amitabh Bachchan has accepted to be part of Thalaivar 170. As the Big B joined shoot, Rajinikanth has decided to welcome him with this heartwarming message. He wrote, “”After 33 years, I am working again with my mentor, the phenomenon, Shri Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming Lyca’s “Thalaivar 170″ directed by T.J Gnanavel. My heart is thumping with joy!” Rajinikanth showered Big B with praises and called him his inspiration and mentor.
In reply, Amitabh Bachchan replied in a very humble way. He stated Rajinikanth is incomparable. He wrote, “@rajinikanth … sirrrrr .. .. you are too gracious to me , but just see the Title of the Film , its THALAIVAR 170 .. Thalaivar means Leader, Head, Chief .. You are the head, the Leader and the Chief .. ANY DOUBT people .. ?? I cannot compare myself with you ! My great honour to be working with you again .. !!”

Well, this is a mutual admiration society that we do not mind to watch. Both have them have become legends of Indian Cinema in their own right. Rajinikanth kept growing in popularity so much that he over took every one in terms of longevity and admiration. Amitabh Bachchan in late 80’s and 90’s lost that box office grip. But as an actor, he maintained his mojo and became most loved senior star in Indian Cinema.
Rajinikanth maintaining his humility and Amitabh Bachchan acknowledging it is something we need to learn as well. Lyca Productions is producing Thalaivar170 in TJ Gnanavel direction. Anirudh Ravichander is composing music and Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati are also part of the film.
