Puri Jagannadh has become one of the most sought after directors in Telugu Cinema. After Pokiri, he has become the director that every actor wants to act with. Puri Jagannadh did films with Prabhas, Jr. NTR, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, Pawan Kalyan after that. His films like Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi, Idiot, Badri, Shivamani, Pokiri, Deshamuduru, Businessman and Temper have become cult hits. Puri Jagannadh came back with Ismart Shankar after a decade.
The director tried to give another blockbuster with Vijay Deverakonda Liger. The movie became a huge failure. Puri Jagannadh has started his next film, Double Ismart. The sequel for the successful film is said to be Double the Entertainment and Double the fun. Ram Pothineni is acting as Shankar again in the film. Puri Jagannadh is producing and directing the film.

Puri Connects is producing the film and Charmee Kaur is acting as co-producer. Double Ismart pooja ceremony has been held on 10th July, 2023. Puri Jagannadh has announced that the movie shoot will start on 12th July, 2023. Double Ismart will release on 8th March, 2024. Puri Jagannadh did not announce the other cast and crew details, yet. Mani Sharma composed music for the first and music became huge success. He might again compose music for this sequel, too.
