PS-2 aka Ponniyin Selvan-2 has released on 28th April 2023. Legendary director Mani Ratnam completed his dream to make movie based Ponniyin Selvan novel. Kalki Krishnamurthy immortalised Chola history with this novel 70-75 years ago in Tamil literature. PS-2 is the second part of the movie and PS-1 became a huge blockbuster worldwide. Now, the movie PS-2 released on the same date as Baahubali-2 in 2017.
Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies produced the film. The movie opened to positive reviews than PS-1, worldwide. PS-2 collected Rs.100 gross worldwide, including Tamil markets. Movie opened to huge USD 3Million in North America over weekend. PS-2 seems to have a long run and long weekend release has boosted it all-over.
Chiyaan Vikram and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are receiving huge praises for their performance. Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Jayam Ravi are getting praised for their screen presence and performance. Prakash Raj, Nasser, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Rehman, Sarathkumar also lend their hand in ensemble cast of PS-2.
