Pawan Kalyan comeback film faces theatre dispute before release

Pawan Kalyan dispute

Excitement is high as Pawan Kalyan returns to the silver screen with Hari Hara Veera Mallu, but a last-minute issue is clouding the film’s grand release in the Nizam region. However, not everything is smooth. In the key Nizam region, bookings have not opened in single-screen theatres under Asian Cinemas, one of the largest theatre chains. The reason for not opening the bookings is that what’s going to be the homecoming film of Pawan Kalyan is a profit-sharing dispute between the distributor Mythri Distribution and Asian Cinemas.

The historical action film, which took five years to complete, is finally set to release with paid premieres just hours away. Fans are celebrating in style with giant cutouts and banners, and advance bookings are going strong across both Telugu states.

According to reports, both parties are standing firm on their terms. Mythri Distribution is handling the release in Nizam, but Asian Cinemas is unwilling to adjust its percentage demands. Neither side has made a move to compromise, leading to a delay in bookings just before the premieres.

This is not the first time Mythri Distribution has had such an issue. A similar situation occurred during the release of Pushpa 2, when the film wasn’t screened at Prasads IMAX due to a dispute. While that issue was resolved for Veera Mallu, trouble has now appeared with Asian Cinemas.

Fans are now left waiting as time ticks away, hoping that the issue will be sorted before it impacts the film’s opening collections. With such high expectations around Pawan Kalyan’s comeback, any delay could hurt the box office numbers in an important region like Nizam.

Despite the setback, excitement remains high, and ticket sales are soaring wherever bookings have opened. All eyes are now on Mythri Distribution’s next move—and whether Hari Hara Veera Mallu will have the smooth release it deserves.
