Pankaj Tripathi has become one of the most famous supporting actors of Indian Cinema. He made inroads into the industry as an actor with small roles. Pankaj Tripathi got recognition with Gangs of Wasseypur films. Prior to that he acted in few Television serials during his struggling period. Post Gangs of Wasseypur, he became a regular in many films and several filmmakers have decided to cast him in supporting lead and lead roles too. Pankaj Tripathi has won National Award Special Mention for his acting in Mimi at 69th National Film Awards. The actor recently lost his father and he remembered his deceased father on this occasion his special statement.
Pankaj Tripathi dedicated his National Award to his father and wrote an emltional note about his decision. Pankaj Tripathi wrote, “This is unfortunately a period of loss and grieving for me. If Babuji was around, he would have been really happy for me. When I first got the National award mention, he was very proud and pleased.”
Pankaj Tripathi continued to say, “This National Award I dedicate to him and his spirit. I’m who I’m today because of him. I’m in loss of words due to this time but I’m happy and grateful to the team. Kriti also has won the Best Actress, so a huge congratulations to her.” He did congratulate Kriti Sanon for winning National Award as Best Actress jointly with Alia Bhatt. She won for her performance in same film, Mimi. Pankaj Tripathi has recently received huge applause from audiences and critics for his leading man performance in the film, OMG 2.
