Tollywood Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited film OG is set to release worldwide on 25 September as a Dasara gift to fans. The gangster drama, set against a Mumbai backdrop, features Priyanka Arul Mohan as the heroine and Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi as the main villain. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Shriya Reddy, Arjun Das, and Siri Lella in key roles.
Directed by Sujeeth, OG has music composed by Thaman and is produced on a grand scale by DVV Danayya under DVV Entertainments. With just a few days to go, excitement among fans has reached new heights.
The makers have already opened advance bookings for overseas premieres and are planning special benefit shows in both Telugu states. Initially, they applied to screen a OG special show at 1 am on 25 September. However, the Telangana government refused to grant permission for midnight screenings. Instead, it allowed the team to hold a premiere show at 9 pm on 24 September.
In contrast, the Andhra Pradesh government approved the midnight show and even fixed the ticket prices. But with two different schedules in place, the makers are now reconsidering their strategy. According to reports, they want to hold premieres simultaneously in both states. To make this possible, they plan to reapply to the Andhra Pradesh government, asking for permission to shift the premiere to 9 pm on 24 September. A revised order is expected soon.
Once the final approvals are in place, advance bookings for premiere shows in both states will open at the same time. Fans are eagerly waiting for this announcement, as OG is one of the most hyped Telugu films of the year.
With Pawan Kalyan in the lead, Emraan Hashmi’s debut in Telugu cinema, and a strong supporting cast, OG is set for a massive opening. All eyes are now on the premiere schedules and box-office response.
